En yaygın metotla, kuru yaprakların 30 dakika süreyle kaynatılmasıyla yapılan çay, soğuduktan sonra içiliyor ve tadı, bilinen nane tadından çok adaçayının tadına benziyor.
Doktor Beverly Collett, hypties crenata üzerinde daha fazla araştırma yapılması ve içerdiği moleküllerin tespit edilmesi gerektiğini, bitkinin geleceğin ağrı kesicisi olabileceğini söyledi.
